  81. Where to Obtain MOD Files

  84. You will find a large number of Amiga MOD files on CompuServe. Check out
  85. the AMIGAARTS Forum. There is a library dedicated entirely to MODs and
  86. culled from all over the world. It's interesting to see the range and
  87. diversity of these compositions. They range anywhere from Classical to 
  88. Pop to Rock to Ambient to Alternative to Disco (ugh) to Rap to Lawrence
  89. Welkian to the downright bizarre.

  91. MOD is an ever-changing format. I've included documentation for an
  92. expanded format. If you're into programming or even curious, take a look.

  95. Using the Media Player
  96. ======================

  98. 1. Double click on the Media Player icon in the Accessories Group.
  99.  
  100. 2. Choose &Devices...&UltiMOD Player on the Media Player menu.
  101.    A dialog box will appear requesting which MOD file you wish to
  102.    play. Choose one.
  103.  
  104. 3. Once the file loads, the Media Player will present the usual PLAY,
  105.    STOP, FF, REW, PAUSE, and CUE controls. Use them like a CD player.

  109. Notes for Developers
  110. ====================

  112. UltiMOD contains an MCI device driver which plays MOD files. That means
  113. any application which is capable of talking with MCI can also play MOD
  114. files. Visual Basic 3.0 contains a MCI custom control (VBX). All that
  115. you have to do is drop the MCI custom control on a Visual Basic control,
  116. set a few control properties, and--voila--you have an instant MOD player.
